Dr. Laila Dyer

Founder & CEO, Hope Neurology LLC

Philosophy

Dr. Dyer works to guide the healing process from something as simple as the flu to illnesses as complex as a rare neurological disorders. She uses an integrative approach to treat the whole individual. Treatment is focused on treating the disease state, the patient's physical and mental well being, and optimize their quality of life. This can include preventative measures along with treatments. 


At Hope Neurology, we have the privilege and opportunity to see entire families heal from their loved one's disease state.

Medical Team

Jeff graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in 2003 and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in 2007. He settled in southern Maryland and then Nebraska, gaining extensive clinical experience. He joined Hope Neurology in August 2025, bringing valuable expertise to broaden the range of treatments and services offered.

Hobbies & Interests: Spending time with family, and seeing my daughters grow into amazing and confident women is my primary focus and joy outside of work. Columbia is a unique place. It offers the welcoming feel of a community, and a healthy work life balance.  I couldn't feel more fortunate to have it as my home.

What do you love most about your job? "At Hope Neurology, from the staff, doctors, and patients, everyone is treated like family. I am extremely grateful to be part of all the good we do here for patients in their journey to healing."

Abigail is the friendly and comforting voice you’ll hear when you call Hope Neurology and the smiling face that greets you when you arrive. She handles the clinics day to day operations, ensuring that new patients are all set up upon arrival and returning patients have everything they need before they go.

Rebekah attended University of Minnesota. As soon as she stepped foot inside Hope Neurology, she said she knew her calling: to help make care affordable for patients. Patients  constantly reach out to her directly and trust her when it comes to guidance in how to best navigate financial concerns related to their care, along with questions regarding insurance, claims and reimbursements.

Hobbies & Interests: "I enjoy spending time with my family and my work family.  I love to see the joy and relief in the faces of financially struggling parents' when I help them find resources, grants and even generous donors, so they can afford their autistic child's care.

What do you love most about your job? "I love the work environment of Hope Neurology; I love our little office and working closely with patients!”

Medical Assistant
Tori is currently a student at the University of Missouri pursuing a degree in occupational therapy. At Hope Neurology, she has the privilege of working closely with patients, providing compassionate and high-quality care. She supports the medical team and learns from each patient interaction as she works toward her future career as Hope Neurology's occupational therapist.


Hobbies & Interests:
“I love spending time outdoors, staying active, hiking, and enjoying nature whenever I can.”

Prior Authorization Specialist

Clinical Research Coordinator
Liam carries a national certification in Clinical Research from the NIH and is currently involved in multiple research studies sponsored by Hope Neurology focused on Autoimmune Encephalitis. 


He manages prior authorizations for medications, testing, and procedures.  In his free time, he assists our intake, medical, and billing team, ensuring that every detail is handled smoothly and efficiently. Liam is known for his friendly demeanor and dependable work ethic, always ready to lend a hand. 


Hobbies & Interests: “I enjoy writing music and playing the guitar, as well as going on hikes and spending time outdoors.”


What do you love most about your job? “Dr. Dyer always takes time to teach and mentor us so we understand the impact we make.  I really value the things I’ve learned from working here and how it has helped me in my own personal growth."

Trained Therapy & Seizure Dog

Cutie proudly holds an AKC Certification and is our official therapy dog at Hope Neurology. Her specialty is helping patients feel comfortable, especially children with autism, so they can relax and cooperate during evaluations. With her gentle presence and loving nature, she makes the office feel like home for them.


Hobbies & Interests: “I enjoy being petted, getting belly rubs, and giving unconditional love.”


What do you love most about your job? “I love making patients smile and helping them feel safe and at ease during their visits.”
